04. Invest in your story
People are typically sticker shocked when they realize how much photography and videography can cost. On the other hand, I often hear how people regretfully wishing they would have allocated more money for their photographer. After all, when the big day has come and gone and the personalized placements, flowers and balloons get thrown away, the donut wall gets eaten and you wine and dine Becca because she was a girlfriend of a friend you haven’t spoke to in over 6 years but you feel obligated because Allie was invited.. the one thing you will be left with are of course the photos and videos. If you invest in a good Photogrpaher, when you look back on your photos and videos your mind and body will bring you right back to those feelings you felt the day of. They will grow in value over time as they are passed down to generations. If you ask me, it’s priceless. I will try not to rant here but I feel particularly passionate about this because unfortunately over time the word photographer has become less meaningful as the technology and even our cellphones have become that good. Feels like nowadays anyone can be considered a photographer. But, the cameras and the phones are a very small percentage of capturing THE shot. Like the human body, There’s an entire system happening here to proper functionally. In short, When you are thinking about how much you want to spend on your Photogrpaher; consider this. 1.) How well you connect with them. 2.)There eyeball, do you think they have a unique artistic view on the world. 3.) How do their photos look when the sun goes down or in a poorly lit room or rainy day. 4. Equipment used. 5. Their experience
05. Exclusive to you
I’m here for you. I want to spend time with you and on your project. I want to present a masterpiece to you. How I put my work out there means a lot to me and so do you. I want to be available to you before, during and after. This is such a special time and I want the best for all of my clients. This is why I’ve made the decision to take on less clients yearly so I can be exclusive to you. photographers insight: hiring a Photogrpaher who is overbooked is most likely physically, mentally and creatively exhausted and won’t be able to produce the best work they are capable of.
06. The Proper Guidence
We fully understand how much goes into planning a wedding. Let us do the work for you. We want your day to be as stress free as possible. We will reach out to you with a questionnaire and a photography timeline as we approach the wedding. The questionnaire will help us understand more about you two as a couple so we can create a story through our photos and videos. For photography guidance, the Mood boards, shot lists and inspiration are all very helpful and encouraged. But as mentioned previously, the best shots are going to happen candidly. Most of my couples are afraid they are awkward or don’t know what to do. Trust is the key ingredient to any relationship. The same applies to your relationship with your Photogrpaher. Leave all your worries; submit and trust the process. I will be doing everything I know and can to create the best for you. Also remember, your partner is there with you, use each other to draw you back into the present moment, which is beautiful. Overall, just own it.. this is your day and truly in this moment nothing else matters so lets have a damn good time while we’re at it!
